"Capitalism" is conventionally defined along economic terms such as the following:

An economic system in which the means of production and distribution are privately or corporately owned and development is proportionate to the accumulation and reinvestment of profits gained in a free market especially as contrasted to cooperatively or state-owned means of wealth.

The above is an example of a definition by non-essentials. An essential definition of capitalism is a political definition:

Capitalism is a social system based on the principle of individual rights.

In order to have an economic system in which "production and distribution are privately or corporately owned", you must have individual rights and specifically property rights. The only way to have an economic system fitting the first definition is to have a political system fitting the second definition. The first is an implication of the second. Because the second, political, definition is fundamental and the cause of the first, it is the more useful definition and is preferable.

It is important to define "Capitalism" correctly because a proper definition is a prerequisite to a proper defense. Capitalism is the only moral political system because it is the only system dedicated to the protection of rights, which is a requirement for human survival and flourishing. This is the only proper roll of a government. Capitalism should be defended vigorously on a moral basis, not an economic or utilitarian basis.

The Occupy Wall Street Movement is the result of Capitalism gone wrong.

The weakness of capitalism has been "human nature" and those wanting to destroy our capitalistic economy, have lured and enticed those in key positions of power in both government and the private sector, with monetary bait in order to carry out their destructive plot. Such bait has been used to bring about corporate and government corruption on a scale never before seen. Government officials that are supposed to be FOR THE PEOPLE, with the people's best interest at heart, have now become corrupt bedfellows who are controlled and beholden to corporate interests that have no humanitarian concern for the people, but only care about their billions of dollars in corporate profits, at the expense of the people. The repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act destroyed safeguards that were put in place to protect the people. As people have become poorer and more economically oppressed, they have reached a breaking-point and now say NO MORE! This is a natural reaction. When you push any living, breathing creature into a corner with no where else to turn, that creature is going to come out fighting with everything that is within it, in order to survive. Those who have baited our corporate and government leaders and plotted the destruction of our capitalistic economy, have known this all along and that's why it has been so easy to now put people in various cities across our nation to start the "Occupy" movements and make it look like it was spontaneous. Now that we are aware and see the big picture of what has occurred, we need to take the necessary steps to reform our necessary system of capitalism rather than destroy it. This will most definitely thwart the plans of those seeking our destruction. Sure, Glenn Beck predicted OWS would take place and knew many of those who were behind it, but he had no plan or solution to offer as a way to avoid it, and make the necessary reforms needed to correct all of the wrong that has been done to American citizens. Now we have people occupying city streets all across our nation, that are desperate and in need of help. In his explanation of OWS, Glenn Beck asks if anyone has a better explanation of what is going on. Well, now you have it. The only solution that I know of at this point, is to support the actionable common sense list of demands at OccupyWallStreetDemands.net which are the grievances OF THE PEOPLE, and sign the petition that goes DIRECTLY to Congress. Yes, there are still details that need to be worked out, but at least it is a starting point. Then Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Tea Party Patriots and everyone else must use the power of AmericasBallotBox and CongressOnYourSide.com to work together with our "elected" government officials, so that government can be what our Forefathers intended it to be, OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE and FOR THE PEOPLE.
